Studio portrait photography in Yokohama, Tokyo, Japan

Studio portrait packages now available

As the Covid situation here in Japan has stabilised somewhat, I’ve been back in the studio recently doing some portrait sessions. Find out about how you can get some great new portraits of yourself.

Work has been up and down recently but things are slowly starting to return to a kind of normal. So, I recently went into the studio in Yokohama with a bunch of friends, across two weekends, to shoot a series of portraits.

Two minutes from Motomachi-Chukagai Station in Yokohama, I’ve got the use of a great little studio. It’s super convenient, being just 10mins by subway from Yokohama station and around 30mins from Shibuya and Shinagawa.

And we’ve got all the gear there necessary to shoot some wonderful portraits of you, whether you want something formal or fun.

An affordable package of professional portraits

Our portrait packages start at 35,000¥ and for that you get 2hrs of studio shooting time, a backup copy of all the photos we shoot with 20 of the best edited up and delivered as both high-rez (for print) and web-ready images.

Depending on what you need, we can also arrange hair & makeup, clothing rental and a bunch of other options to help you create whatever look you require.

A photographer with 30 years of experience & a portfolio of household names

I’ve been shooting as a pro for almost three decades and in that time I’ve had all manner of people in front of my camera, including Yoko Ono, Hayao Miyazaki, HRH The Duke of Cambridge, rock band Mr.Children, Joe Strummer of The Clash, Bob Geldof, a few prime ministers, an emperor and a whole host of other folks from the arts, business, politics and various walks of life.

I pride myself on being approachable, friendly and able to make even the most nervous of subjects relax and enjoy themselves in front of the camera.

Above all, I love people and I always aim for the sessions to be fun.

Some of the recent shots we’ve done in the Motomachi studio

Here’s a selection of shots we’ve shot over the past few weeks: friends, family, and some folks we’d only recently met or knew only from social media. Hope you enjoy taking a look at what we’ve been creating.
